http://www.gkiz.com - The common theme of each Marvel book was that of the flawed hero.These guys and gals were markedly different from the protagonists of the rival DC Comics brand the most well known DC stars were Superman and Batman each of which had TV series not cartoons in which they were played by human actors in that while the DC canon of heroes were iconic bigger than life figures they also seemed predictable and one dimensional to me. The Marvel casts lives all revolved around the annoying problems each faced in their home school and family lives. In other words the Marvel heroes were a lot more like us kids trying to navigate an era in which technology and mass media had begun to outpace humanitys ability to cope with it all. They seemed more attainable and accessible.
